DAVIDSON – The public will have the chance to shoot some hoops and enjoy some food later this month when the Ada Jenkins Center hosts the “big reveal” of its revitalized gymnasium.
Thanks to donations from the Eat.Learn.Play Foundation – founded by former Ada Jenkins Center volunteer, Davidson College legend and current NBA All-Star Stephen Curry and his wife, Ayesha – and the Team Summit Foundation, the decades-old gymnasium at the Ada Jenkins Center has been completely renovated and transformed.
To celebrate, the Center at 212 Gamble St. has planned an open house especially geared toward basketball enthusiasts on Saturday, Jan. 21, from 2-4 p.m.
The chance to play on the court will include basketball drills, a youth free-throw contest with prizes, the Curry 3-point contest for youth and adults, face painting, music and free lunch and refreshments.
The Center will also share its new open gym schedule for public recreation. For more information, email Harold Rice, [email protected], or call 704-896-0471.
